My husband & I have been to well played on every single one of our Asheville visits which is every year. But, we came to well played for the 1st time when we were dating in 2018 when it used to be on Wall st. It is one of the best board game cafes we’ve ever been to! It is super cozy & inviting! It makes me want to do a wall of games in my own home. They have food & drinks which are all great & a myriad of games to choose from. Totally worth it & time well spent! Highly recommend.
I’m so glad we finally got to check this place out! There are so many games to play, and we ended up staying for two and a half hours playing a ton! The veggie flatbread (I got tofu added to mine) was delicious, and the coffee and alcoholic beverage choices are great. My husband approved of his meatball sub, and hi you can get french toast sticks all day! The vibe is great for a date night or a gathering with friends, and the servers were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to play more often now that we know how great it really is inside.
My mom and I visited Well Played this past weekend and absolutely loved it! It’s very cute, well lit & has tons of seating. Our server was super friendly & recommend some great games to us. This place has such a vast selection of games here, it would be perfect for family game night or a friends night out. Will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Asheville!
My husband and I went in on a Thursday afternoon to pass some time before dinner. It was the best time! We played a game we knew (Sequence) but asked for a recommendation for the next game. We absolutely loved learning to play Abalone! Great rec and awesome time playing it. We shared some hummus and a mac & cheese grilled cheese and they were both delicious! Great drink selection and super friendly staff. TONS of game choices!
Top tier! I love a good board game bar, and this place has it all! There are sooo many board games to choose from, and they host game tournaments as well as countless other events as well! The drink menu is pretty well rounded. The food menu is somewhat smaller, but still, the food is tasty! I've felt very welcomed here, and I've even made some new friends here. Great spot to hit up if you love board games and are new to the area Also, Jason (one of the owners) is a great example of what management should look like. I've been there a few times now, and he is very involved with his workers as well as the community of gamers in the area. This is a great business to support
We had an amazing server and nice drinks. When you walk in they explain the place to you and how if you pay 10 you have unlimited access to the entire wall of games. If you just want to stay for a quick drink or bite, you can use some of their free games, like Jenga!
We had so much fun. The staff were incredible. The game selection is vast. The food was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to come back. Very affordable and enjoyable way to spend a day
Cute spot! Went for the Sunday brunch trivia and was a great, well paced game but some bizarrely specific categories. Lovely spot to play games. Wish there was more variety for breakfast compared to lunch limited healthy options / no eggs or avocado just pastries and bagels. Great drink menu from alcohol to tea and coffee to juices.
